I would like
to share with you about my first experience with meditation. Meditation seems
easy because what you need to do is sit still (walk or lie down meditation),
close your eyes (be mindful) and still your mind, but it is actually not easy.
Within a minute or two, your mind (Monkey Mind) starts to wander! Meditation is
good to practice controlling our mind from being Monkey (restless)
How-To:
After
sit comfortably and close your eyes,
1. Pay attention to your breath.
2. When
mind starts to wander, return the mind and remain in the present moment.
3.
Focus on your breath, follow your breath. Inhale, exhale.
Benefit of Meditation:
1. Lower stress levels.
2. Get to know our pain.
3. Improve focus.
4. Be kinder
to ourselves.
